Natura Armchair in Pine and Leather by Karin Mobring for Ikea
1960s-1970s production.
The first edition Natura Armchair by Karin Mobring is a quietly striking piece, defined by its thoughtful proportions and understated presence. Crafted in the late 1960s and 1970s, it pairs warm, natural wood - finished with a soft, time-earned patina - with supple leather that has aged gracefully, adding depth and character. As an early example of Mobring’s vision, it feels both intentional and refined, embodying the ease and clarity of Scandinavian design. More than just seating, it brings a sense of calm, lived-in elegance to a space - an enduring piece for those drawn to timeless, well-crafted forms.
Each chair is offered individually, and while both sport the original leather sling and patina from their age, each has had leatherwork completed to ensure long term use, including, but not limited to, new straps in high stress areas, new nylon cord stitching to prevent breaks, and conditioning throughout. Additionally, the pine frame has been oiled, tightened and gone over for the next owner.
