Vintage String Chair for Croydon Aero Lite
1966-1973 production.
Vintage string chairs in the style of Jacques Guillon, though manufactured by Croydon Aero Lite, a Canadian company in Quebec. Defined by a tensioned cord system woven through a wooden frame, where structure and surface become one continuous expression of form and function. The open weave construction offers both visual lightness and ergonomic support, characteristic of mid-century explorations in flexible seating.
This set features red woven cord with black lacquered frames, creating a strong graphic contrast between material and silhouette. The chairs present well overall, with light wear consistent with age and use, including minor paint fading and small surface dents to the frames. Lightweight, structurally sound and fully usable as they sit.
Priced and sold individually.
