This absolute statement piece brings together the juxtaposition of aluminum as a solid industrial material to the smooth flowing curves of biophilic forms or "blobism", first introduced in the late 50s in molded plastic and acrylic design. This custom made "Blob" chair was hand made over a custom form, with melted aluminum cast over it as a shell. While solid as an entire piece, the chair is infact quite comfortable thanks to its shaping of the seat for the human body.
