Designed in 1969, the Chiara lamp is built from a single sheet of polished stainless steel, cut and rolled into a simple cylindrical form. The result is a flexible, self-supporting structure with an origami-like presence. The light source, positioned at the base, is hidden within the body of the lamp and softly reflected by a wide, sculptural “hat” that recalls the silhouette of a nun’s wimple and veil. Even when unlit, Chiara’s strong, graphic identity gives it an unmistakable presence in a room.

The 2020 re-edition introduces updated technology and two formats: the original floor lamp in stainless steel with a black edge, and a smaller table version offered in several finishes—aluminum with anthracite edge, dark grey with olive-green edge, and pink gold with oxide-red edge.
