Designed by Marcel Breuer, the Laccio Table remains one of the defining expressions of early modernist furniture design. Originally conceived during Breuer’s time at the Bauhaus in the 1920s, the piece reflects his pioneering exploration of tubular steel - a material that would fundamentally reshape the language of modern furniture.

Inspired by the lightweight bent steel used in bicycle construction, Breuer reduced furniture to its essential lines, emphasizing openness, balance, and structural clarity. The result is a design that feels remarkably contemporary nearly a century later.

Defined by its seamless tubular steel frame and restrained geometric form, the Laccio functions equally well as a standalone table or nested in multiples. The satin-finished laminate top contrasts subtly against the polished chrome structure, reinforcing the table’s balance of industrial precision and visual lightness.

Produced by Knoll, each example bears the stamped Knoll logo and Marcel Breuer signature as part of the frame construction.
