A substantial vintage coffee table defined by a low, monolithic form and polished stainless steel construction. Stainless steel panels wrap a solid wood core across the top and sides, creating the appearance of a single, weighty volume with a clean architectural presence.

The polished surface has developed a imperfect finish over time, with areas of clouding, fine markings, subtle variations in reflection, and occasional shallow dents. Rather than detracting from the simplicity of the form, these irregularities soften the otherwise precise geometry of the table, giving the stainless steel a more tactile, lived-in character. As light moves across the surface, the variations become part of the piece - shifting between reflective highlights and muted, almost painterly areas.

Its restrained plinth construction allows it to function equally well as a coffee table, low display surface, or sculptural platform for books and objects. A simple piece materially, but one whose age and use have given the stainless steel a character that would be difficult to replicate in a newly fabricated object.
